Regulation (EC) No 852/2004 enforced by The Food Hygiene (England) Regulations 2006
- This law came into effect 1st January 2006 and effects all food businesses.
- The main provision in this legislation is the requirement of food operators to put into place, implement and maintain a permanent procedure based on the principles of HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point).
Training is also a requirement under this law which states "those responsible for the development and maintenance of HACCP procedures have received adequate training in the application of the HACCP Principles and compliance with any requirements of national law concerning training programmes for persons working in certain food sectors".
Our HACCP consultants work with our clients to the principles as defined in the Campden Guideline no. 42, we initially carry out training in the principles of HACCP prior to the selection of the HACCP team and development of the project.
Full documentation of flow diagrams, HACCP charts and associated documentation can also be produced by our HACCP consultants.
All our HACCP projects in the ice cream, dairy, bakery, vegetable processing, meat and animal feed industries have been successfully completed and approved by local authorities, retailers and independent auditors.
Our HACCP consultants also carry out on-going verification and review audits of HACCP systems for our clients and can assist clients towards ISO 22000. We have now launched a 'HACCP 22000 Pack' for the development of systems to meet this Standard
